Overview
Discover the peaceful surroundings of The Owl's Roost, from the private entrance to The Owl’s Roost, the flight of steps take you straight up to a view of Glen Helen’s tree tops from the living room and private deck. As both your hosts have a passion for staying in local B&B’s and overnight stays, when they opened The Owl’s Roost, Gayle and Paul wanted to create a relaxing, comfortable and healthy environment for their guests, so worked closely with Design Sleep, a locally owned company passionate about offering the best in sleep solutions and ergonomically designed furniture. They also did a bit of up-cycling to give The Owl's Roost a quirky, eclectic but comfortable flair. To reduce allergens as well as create a warm, welcoming and healthy space, all the floors are either quarter-sawn oak or custom laid tile, and all of our area rugs are made with natural fibers. From custom woodwork built by Paul, full granite counter tops in both the kitchen and full bathroom, to local artists’ work, the hosts’ greatest wish was to create a peaceful and relaxing environment for our guests.
Living, Dining & Kitchen
The living room was designed with comfortable state-of-the-art European leather furniture. The dining area has up-cycled furniture that Gayle reupholstered that is comfortable and fun to use.
The spacious kitchen has solid granite counter tops and full-size appliances. We also have a front-loading washer and dryer is also on site for your convenience.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom has a queen bed with a top-of-the-line European mattress and organic foam and virgin wool topper for comfort and body temperature regulation. The sheets are all 475-thread-count or higher 100% Egyptian percal cotton. We also have a variety of pillows to satisfy most people’s desires for a comfortable sleep.
Study
The study has a desk for work away from home,dresser, and a top-of-the-line full-size pull out sofa with an organic foam and virgin wool topper for our guests' comfort, which can accomodate extra sleep space for up to two people.
Full Bath
The full bath includes thirsty, 100% cotton towels, and Davines body and hair care products.
